Join the Fund as it holds its first webinar of 2019 focusing on Alternative Credit Scoring and its Role in Financial Inclusion. The webinar will be held on Wednesday, 30 January 2019 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm East African Time.
Through support from Mastercard Foundation Fund for Rural Prosperity, Juhudi Kilimo grants loans to rural farmers using a modified and convenient psychometric credit scoring system.
Companies based in Burundi, Malawi and Rwanda will receive a total of US$2,808,295 from the Fund as support for their innovative businesses in rural parts of Africa.
The Mastercard Foundation’s Fund for Rural Prosperity was at the recently concluded Pwani Innovation Week, where Programme and Learning Manager, Grace Njoroge, presented several innovative companies that are supported by the Fund.
The Fund shall be showcasing its supported projects at Pwani Innovation Week, taking place from the 4th to the 7th December, 2018, in Mombasa, Kenya.
The Fund is sponsoring Finovate Africa on the 27th and 28th November 2018 in Cape Town. FRP's Team Leader, Wambui Chege, will showcase innovations in the Fund’s portfolio during the conference in South Africa.
