Rohi Company Limited

Rohi Company Limited aims to strengthen resilient and inclusive banana value chains in Tanzania by expanding value addition, reducing post-harvest losses, and improving market access, while creating dignified employment opportunities for young women and men with limited financial means.

By sourcing bananas from more than 500 predominantly women smallholder farmers and processing surplus produce into value-added products such as crisps, flour, tea, soap, and jam, Rohi increases farmer incomes and promotes more sustainable agricultural practices. Through a nationwide distribution network of over 600 women-led wholesalers and retailers across 27 regions, Rohi enables inclusive livelihood opportunities for underserved youth and women throughout Tanzania.
