Maua Mazuri Tissue Cultures Limited contributes to a more resilient and inclusive banana value chain by expanding access to disease‑free, high‑yield planting material while creating dignified employment opportunities for young women and men with limited financial means.

By producing tissue culture plantlets at scale and supplying both smallholder and commercial farmers, the project seeks to improve farm productivity, enhance resilience to pests and disease, and increase farmer incomes. Serving domestic markets in Tanzania and expanding into Kenya, Maua Mazuri supports food security and sustainable job creation across East Africa’s value chain.
