The Mastercard Foundation Fund for Rural Prosperity conducted its first Madagascar information workshop for the 2017/2018 rolling competition in Antananarivo on Thursday, 9 November 2017. The workshop was held at Hotel Palissandre.
During the workshop, potential applicants seeking support for their innovative and scalable financial inclusion projects, learnt how they could apply in the third collection of the 2017/2018 Rolling competition.
Jenny Lofbom, a KPMG representative, explained the rolling format of the current competition and its features. She also informed participants about the eligibility criteria and the process of applying. This was followed by an engaging question and answer session.
For-profit organisations that have innovative and scalable projects that are capable of transforming the lives of those living in rural or agricultural areas in Africa, are encouraged to visit www.frp.org to register and apply for support.
The Mastercard Foundation Fund for Rural Prosperity has already conducted two phases of the competition this year with the third call for applications ending on 30 November 2017.
To date, 21 projects have been selected for funding by the Fund in earlier competitions.
