Olam has been present in Uganda since 1997 and currently works with 6 agri-products across 8 regions, as well as imports and distributes sugar and edible oil. Olam’s operations in Uganda extend from origination and processing to logistics and distribution.
Musoni is a microfinance institution with a strong focus on mobile technology to manage its business. Musoni has three main streams of services: group loans, individual loans and agricultural loans. Since its inception in 2010, Musoni has disbursed over 132,000 loans worth KES 38 million across 7 counties in Kenya.
M-KOPA is the market leader in developing and selling ‘solar home systems’ (SHSs) (i.e. off-grid electricity) to rural consumers in East Africa on favorable credit terms. Once the SHS has been paid for it can be used as collateral for further credit sales from M-KOPA, for example water tanks, fuel-efficient cook stoves and other productive assets. M-KOPA started in Kenya and has since expanded into Uganda and Tanzania.

APA Insurance Limited is an insurance provider in Kenya and Uganda. It underwrites general insurance risks such as fire, marine, aviation, personal accident, motor, liability, agriculture, property and micro-insurance, as well as providing different forms of health insurance (individual, family and corporate).
