POST-FUNDING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SUPPORT
Following completion of projects funded through the Mastercard Foundation Fund for Rural Prosperity, six companies were selected for technical assistance grants for specific areas of identified need, to prepare for scaled results and impact.
Technical assistance was provided in a spread of geographies – West, East and Southern Africa. For FutureLink, the TA supported expansion activities from Uganda to Zambia.
Funding supported three (self-declared) thematic areas – post-fund capital raising, Covid-19 response and Gender Mainstreaming.
Beneficiary impact was not expected to be directly attributable to any of the technical assistance support provided, or to take place in the short term. However, several supported participants reported how they expect the results of the technical assistance to provide enabling conditions for future programs and initiatives with specific targets for impact.
