The Fund in The EastAfrican newspaper
Following on from participation in the recent Financial Inclusion Week, the Fund in conjunction with Nation Media Group organised a feature appearing in the physical edition of The EastAfrican newspaper. The feature had contributions from multiple organisations working in Financial Inclusion and supporting smallholder farmers, including Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), APA Insurance (APA), BFA, KCB Mobigrow and Mercy Corps AgriFin Accelerate. There were also contributions from Fund partners Nathan Associates, IPETripleline and the Mastercard Foundation Rural and Agricultural Finance Learning Lab.
The feature explores important issues and opportunities around reaching the untapped market, blended finance, innovative payment models for rural communities and the need for strategic collaborations.
