Cote D’Ivoire Workshop

The MasterCard Foundation Fund for Rural Prosperity conducted its 2016 Scaling Competition Information workshop at the KPMG Offices in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire on Wednesday, 18 May 2016.

This two-hour session enabled our experts to engage with registrants and interested potential applicants in the private sector seeking support for their tried and tested financial products and/or services that have potential for scaling up. More than thirty five representatives from various private sector organizations participated in this informative session.

During the workshop, Marcel Kopoin, Partner of KPMG International Development Advisory Services took the attendees through a detailed presentation. He discussed about the success of the inaugural 2015 Innovation and Scaling Competitions, the 2015 winners, how companies can apply for support as well as the eligibility criteria of the 2016 Scaling Competition. This was followed by an engaging Q&A session.

The 2016 Scaling Competition launched on 14 April 2016 and will close on 10 June 2016. For-Profit, commercial organizations with innovative financial products, services or processes that have the potential to scale up, and that could also have a deep social impact on the lives of rural poor people in Sub-Saharan Africa, are encouraged to visit www.frp.org to register and apply for support.
